Liver spots are brown, black or grey colored, oval shaped areas on the skins with large amount of pigmentation.  Liver spots are developed usually in the fair people.

Hence these spots can be seen clearly.  Liver spots are very common among the skin which is over exposed to the sun. Hence back of hands, top of feet, face, shoulders and upper back are affected easily. The size of the liver spots may be more than a centimeter.  These spots can group together and occur more prominent.  Liver spots are also occur with the some damaging signs such as deep wrinkles, dry and rough skin, fine red veins on cheeks, nose and ears and thinner more translucent looking skin.

The important symptoms of liver spots are a flat patch or area of skin color change (macule) from light brown to black.  The change in the color of the skin that is greater than 10 millimeters in diameter is usually called as patch. Macule is nothing but the small distinct colored area of the skin less than 10 millimeters in diameter.  Fatigue, loss of appetite, joint or muscle pains, mild fever, vomiting, abdominal pain and nausea is some other symptoms of the liver spots.  Liver spots cause skin lesion that is a painless.  Liver spots are also developed due to the deficiency of vitamin C.  Hence vitamin C deficiency problems may also affect the patients.  Liver spots may also cause emotional distress.  Liver spots make difficult to diagnose skin cancer.  Liver spot may also develop new symptoms like changes in the appearance of liver spots.
