INFECTIONS DUE TO LIVER SPOTS

Viral infections are transmitted through blood transfusions, sexual contacts and contaminated intramuscular and intravenous needle.  Liver spot diseases are contagious and parasitic in nature.  At first liver spot appears as spatches.  It enlarges in size during course of time.  In whitish people they are pale yellow or brown in colour. But in Negroes they appear in gray colour.  When we scratch the affected area with the nails it produces scales.  In this case itching is quite common.  This itching bothers the patient during the summer seasons. During the cold seasons it may not be seen clearly.   If it is untreated it may last for months and years.  On treating this it will suddenly disappears.  But if we do not continue the medication it will reappear in few days.

The affected area must be often cleaned well with the soap.  This will remove the horny part of the top layer of the skin.  Hence the parasites are exposed to the germ action.  It is necessary to fumigate the underwear thoroughly which will prevent the infection again.  Itching is caused by the deposition of the parasites on the skin.  The human skin is not affected by the male parasites.  It is usually affected by the female which digs the skin deep.  The digging is stopped only when it has reached the true skin.  Hence this infection can be avoided further only by keeping the infected skin very clean.
